Benefits/Financial Services

Temporary Assistance to Needy Families
Assistance program for families with children who are deprived of support of one or both parents.

Food Stamp
Program designed to alleviate hunger and malnutrition by allowing low-income households to obtain a more nutritious diet.

Medicaid
Provide medical care for needy persons who have insufficient income to meet their medical needs.

Auxiliary Grants for the Aged and/or Disabled
Assists aged, blind, and disabled individuals who reside in homes for adults.

Energy assistance/Fuel Assistance
Provides funds to eligible households to offset the cost of home energy

State-Local Hospitalization
Provides for hospitalization and treatment for medically indigent people

Refugee Resettlement Program
Program may available to enable states to assist refugees

Emergency Assistance (TANF)
Provides short term, limited financial assistance to families with children who have had fire or natural disaster.

Day Care Services for Children
Day care is arranged so parents can work or train for employment. Within budgetary constraints, day care can be subsidized for families who qualify. The amount of subsidy is based on household income.

Family Day Care Provider Certification:
Eligible Families in need of day care services are referred to licensed or certified providers. The agency provides certification and training opportunities for Family Day Care Homes.

Put your talents and skills to work helping others. We have various opportunities for you to volunteer with adults, children, families or in the office. Build your resume, make friends, and help make Gloucester County a better place to live and work.
